THE JOY OF TEACHING ENGLISHThe Joy of Teaching English
🌱 Teaching English Is More Than Teaching English
2026.06.28
Sometimes, after a great lesson, we think,
“Wow! I taught really well today!” 😊
But did we?
Or…
Were we simply blessed with a wonderful group of children? 🤔
As teachers, it’s important to know the difference.
🌟 A lively class can make any lesson feel exciting.
🌱 A quiet class can make even experienced teachers doubt themselves.
But here’s what I’ve learned after 30 years of teaching.
A teacher should never be controlled by the class.
Instead…
✨ We guide the energy.
If the children are too excited,
we channel that excitement into speaking English.
If they’re shy,
we create a safe space where every child wants to speak.
If they’re losing focus,
we change the pace, the activity, or even our own voice.
🎯 That’s our job.
The goal isn’t to finish the lesson.
The goal is to help the children grow. 🌱
Every class is different.
That’s why great teachers don’t rely on one teaching style.
They build a teaching toolbox. 🧰
The more tools we have,
the more children we can reach.
💛 After 30 years, I’ve realized this.
A great lesson isn’t one where the children happened to be easy.
A great lesson is one where the teacher helped every kind of class become successful.
Because…
The goal isn’t to finish the lesson.
The goal is to help the children grow. 🌱
That’s what teaching is all about.

💚 Do you believe…
The goal isn’t to finish the lesson.
The goal is to help the children grow. 🌱
If you share this philosophy, we’d love to hear from you.
