🇯🇵 うまくいく授業の秘訣は、

ちょっとした心遣い🌱

授業がうまくいく先生は、特別な教材を持っているわけでも、特別なゲームを知っているわけでもありません。

実は、その日の**「いつもと違うこと」**によく気づいています。✨

 

例えば…

🌱 体験の生徒が来る日

🌱 振替の生徒が来る日

🌱 新しいテキストを始める日

🌱 新しいクラスの初日

 

こんな日は、いつも通りレッスンをすれば、授業は終わります。

でも、それだけでは成功した授業にはなりません。

 

例えば、体験の生徒がいるなら…

📚 いつもより簡単な言葉を使う。

😊 説明を少しゆっくりする。

そうするだけで、その子は

「わかった！」

という成功体験を持って帰ることができます。

 

振替の生徒がいるなら…

👋 「今日は〇〇くんが来ています。」

と最初に紹介してあげるだけで、その子は”お客さん”ではなく、クラスの仲間になります。

 

新しいテキストの日なら…

📖 いきなり本文に入るのではなく、

「今日はこの子たちが主人公だよ。」

と登場人物を紹介するだけで、物語はぐっと理解しやすくなります。

 

そして、新しいクラスの初日。

ここは特に大切です。✨

私はまず全員で自己紹介をします。

例えば、

“I like dogs.”

“I like rabbits.”

“I like cats.”

と、一人ずつ好きな動物を言ってもらい、

“How about you?”

と隣のお友達につないでいきます。

一周したら今度は、

“What animal does she like?”

“What animal does he like?”

と質問します。

すると子どもたちは、

“She likes dogs.”

“He likes rabbits.”

と自然に答え始めます。

これだけで…

✅ I だけでなく He / She の練習になる

✅ クラスメイトの名前を覚えられる

✅ お互いに興味を持てる

という三つの学びが同時に生まれます。

 

私は、このような日を**「スペシャリティのある日」**と考えています。

スペシャリティのある日は、レッスンの運び方も少し変える。

それだけで、

🌸 体験の子は安心し、

🌸 振替の子は仲間になり、

🌸 新しいテキストは楽しみになり、

🌸 新しいクラスには温かい空気が流れます。

子どもたちは、先生が自分たちのために準備してくれたことを、驚くほど敏感に感じ取ります。

 

だから私は、

✨ レッスンを教えるのではなく、その日の子どもたちに合わせてレッスンをデザインする。

そんな先生でありたいと思っています。

教える内容は同じでも、

運び方は、その日、そのクラス、その子どもたちによって変わります。

その小さな心遣いが、

「わかった！」

「楽しかった！」

「また来たい！」

という気持ちを子どもたちに届けます。💕

それこそが、

うまくいく授業の、本当の秘訣なのだと思います。

🌱Heart Teaching Method #2

“Thoughtful Teaching”

A Little Thoughtfulness Makes Great Lessons🌱

Great teachers don’t succeed because they have special games or amazing teaching materials.

They succeed because they notice when today is different. ✨

For example…

🌱 A trial student joins the class.

🌱 A make-up student attends.

🌱 A new textbook begins.

🌱 It’s the first lesson of a brand-new class.

On days like these, you can teach your lesson exactly as usual.

The lesson will finish.

But it won’t become a truly successful lesson.

When a trial student is in class…

📚 Use simpler language.

😊 Explain a little more slowly.

Those small adjustments help the child experience success.

“I understood!”

That’s the feeling we want them to take home.

When a make-up student joins…

👋 Simply introduce them to the class.

“Today we have Emma joining us.”

Suddenly, they’re no longer a visitor.

They’re part of the class.

When you start a new textbook…

📖 Before opening the first page, introduce the characters.

Children understand the story much more easily when they already know who everyone is.

And the first lesson of a new class…

This is especially important. ✨

I like to begin with simple self-introductions.

“I like dogs.”

“I like rabbits.”

“I like cats.”

Each student asks the next one,

“How about you?”

After everyone has spoken, I ask,

“What animal does she like?”

“What animal does he like?”

The students naturally answer,

“She likes dogs.”

“He likes rabbits.”

With one activity, they practice:

✅ I, He, and She

✅ Remembering classmates’ names

✅ Becoming interested in one another

I call these “special days.”

And special days deserve special teaching.

With just a little extra thoughtfulness…

🌸 Trial students feel safe.

🌸 Make-up students become part of the group.

🌸 New textbooks become exciting.

🌸 New classes quickly become friendly communities.

Children notice something amazing.

They can tell when a teacher has prepared a lesson especially for them.

That’s why I believe we shouldn’t simply teach the lesson.

✨ We should design the lesson for the children in front of us.

The content may stay the same,

but the way we teach should change depending on the class, the students, and the moment.

Those small acts of thoughtfulness help children say,

💛 “I understood!”

💛 “That was fun!”

💛 “I can’t wait to come back!”

And I believe that is the real secret to a successful lesson.
